Montserrat lives in ‘90s Mexico City and is trying to make it as a sound editor. Despite her immense talent, she remains invisible in the industry, pining for her best friend Tristán, a fading soap opera star.

When the legendary but mysterious horror director Abel Ureta moves in next door to Tristán, he enlists Montserrat and Tristán to help him break a curse. To do it, he must finish a magical film on silver nitrate stock enchanted by a Nazi occultist, and he needs Montserrat and Tristán’s assistance to do so.
